“He moves mountains without their knowing it and overturns them in his anger.
He shakes the earth from its place and makes its pillars tremble.
He speaks to the sun and it does not shine; he seals off the light of the stars.
He alone stretches out the heavens and treads on the waves of the sea.”
Job 9:5-8

It’s lengthy. But then she’s pretty cute.

“But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its rays. And you will go out and frolic like well-fed calves. Then you will trample on the wicked; they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day when I act,” says the Lord Almighty.”
Malachi 4:2-3

Entry 15

I had forgotten to write this the previous night. Disclaimer: This post contains actual opinion and thought from the writer, and is written late at night. I apologize in advance for any excessive expressiveness or any lack of mention that should have been included.

Just as many of the brothers have affirmed, we were so incredibly blessed last night by the event planned and held by the Livingwater freshmen sisters. I personally was astonished at the amount of preparation that was put into the night. I just attempted to list them all and deleted it because it became too long of a sentence. I wish to point out the aspects of the event that were especially meaningful to me.

Firstly, I was truly inspired by the heart of service of the sisters. From Karen and Sungwon taking drink orders, to Joice and the others setting up the candles when it became dark, everyone was willingly sacrificial in their actions, which I believe very much reflected the heart of Christ. I did not see nor hear anyone complaining, and was glad to see the sisters working with the joy of the Lord in their smiles. It was a time when the brothers could not even help with anything because the sisters had prepared literally everything and served in every way.

Secondly, I was genuinely surprised during the time of spoken affirmations. It had already been clear to me that our class had a strong unity and fellowship that comes from Christ, but I had no idea that the brothers were so appreciated by the sisters. That small acts such as walking them home, asking them how they were doing, and being respectful towards them would be so meaningful was something that no one had told me about before. This is what was most significant to me during the night, and I am extremely grateful for the affirming words. I told Sungwon this when we returned to Berkeley and I was walking her and Seungha home, that I had no idea that we were so appreciated. She responded by saying something along the lines of “Always remember that you are always appreciated”. For some reason, this was very heartwarming and filled me with joy. Now that I think about it, it appears to me that the freshmen sisters have already become the true women of God they seek to be; they possess the love of God that loves us unconditionally, infinitely, and eternally. I wish I could express my appreciation more eloquently and descriptively but cannot, and for the sake of being concise, will end the paragraph here.

All in all, I want to thank the sisters for being who they are, for loving God, for seeking and honoring the Lord, for their service and devotion, for their fellowship, for being such wonderful and beautiful women of God who are so precious and irreplaceable. To the sisters: I truly and humbly love you in Christ.

“Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior.”
Habakkuk 3:17-18

2 Tips to Success:

1. Never tell everything you know.

“As for you, go your way till the end. You will rest, and then at the end of the days you will rise to receive your allotted inheritance.”
